When you work in an organization that incubates 130ish startups, interesting trends bubble towards your brain. One of those trends is the rise of, for lack a better term, HR Tech. Folks are trying to find ways to help people hire better and, once you’ve hired better, engage that workforce better. For a quick, but non-exhaustive list of companies in this category at the ATDC check the comments.

Because this trend is seeming on a upward trajectory, I thought it would be valuable to have some conversations with folks who think deeply about this topic.

We’re doing it LinkedIn Live this month.

Next week professor, blogger, podcaster, and author Tyler Cowen is joining me for a LinkedIn Audio Conversation. Tyler recently co-authored a book on finding talent and is a deep thinker about anything he puts his mind too. We’ll talk about how startups can compete in acquiring talent in a world of big tech paying big salaries.

The week of the 24th I’m talking with Bonnie Dilber. Bonnie works in recruiting at Zapier. She also regularly shares her thoughts on where we are and where we are going in the world HR. I find her writing on LinkedIn to be some of the most insightful and valuable on the platform.

If this topic interests you, please come on by during each of these sessions. We’ll bring some people on stage to answer questions during the second half of the talk.
